Senior/ Staff Nurse

A Staff Nurse’s duties and responsibilities typically revolve around providing patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms, to establish a baseline for care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety.
• Manage and dress wounds, injuries, and surgical incisions, monitoring for signs of infection or complications.
• Continuously monitor patients’ conditions, record vital signs, symptoms, and treatment interventions accurately in patient records.

Background, Skills & Experience

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is often preferred
• Completion of a nursing program accredited by a recognized nursing accreditation body.
• Strong clinical skills in areas like medication administration, wound care, and patient assessment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Need to meet specific physical and health requirements, such as passing a medical examination and demonstrating immunization compliance to protect both themselves and patients.
