Senior/ Staff Nurse
Job Description
A Staff Nurse’s duties and responsibilities typically revolve around providing patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms, to establish a baseline for care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety.
- Manage and dress wounds, injuries, and surgical incisions, monitoring for signs of infection or complications.
- Continuously monitor patients’ conditions, record vital signs, symptoms, and treatment interventions accurately in patient records.
Background, Skills & Experience
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is often preferred
- Completion of a nursing program accredited by a recognized nursing accreditation body.
- Strong clinical skills in areas like medication administration, wound care, and patient assessment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Need to meet specific physical and health requirements, such as passing a medical examination and demonstrating immunization compliance to protect both themselves and patients.
